In 1981, Keith Country Day School established the Belle Emerson Keith (BEK) Scholarship Program to provide opportunities for students from the Rockford area to attend one of the area’s top college-preparatory schools. The BEK Program is designed to help support promising students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in academics, student leadership, co-curricular engagement, and community service.
Since its inception, more than $2 million dollars in tuition credit has been given to 165 students.
The BEK Scholarship Program is initiated in December of each school year. The process includes completion of an entrance examination, a visit to Keith during a school day, and a family interview process.
To participate in the BEK program, all prospective families are expected to reciprocate professional services, volunteer hours, or provide contributions that benefit teaching and learning programs. Expectations for these services are described in more detail within the Keith admissions application.
For more information or if you are interested in signing up for the annual BEK program contact Rachel Rebsom, Admissions Coordinator, at 815-399-8850, ext. 197 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
