Upcoming Alumni Events              Officers:            Cedric Johnson Class of  2000    Carie Post-Poirier Class of 1990          Kim Summerfield-Orput Class of 1985                             Jennifer Papich-Xydakis Class of  1982                                                                                                      The Shoudy family owned three 10-acre lots overlooking the Rock River along North Second Street and tucked in  between the Lysander Jacoby House to the north and the park and golf course to the south.  My grandparents, Fred and Louise Shoudy, sold their home on the lot adjacent to the Jacoby House to Mrs. Keith around 1920.  This property included a tennis court used by the school for many years.  The middle lot was left fallow with one parcel sold to the Griggs family; the home they built still stands today.  Our 10-acre lot included a ski hill, complete with ski jump that ran alongside our home all the way down to North Second.  Keith students and other children from around Rockford often used our hill for sledding and skiing parties.  That property is now the side of the Sinnissippi Apartments.                                                                                                                                               Sarane "Sally" Schulz                                                                                                                                                          Class of 1939
