                                       Spotlight on the Arts

Music, drama and the visual arts for Keith students from age three - grade 12

-Can your child start violin in Kindergarten and continue through high school?
-Does your first grader enjoy music and art classes two or three times a week and perform in a class play?
-Can your sixth grader join a school band?
-Is your freshman studying art, music and drama?
- Can your high school student appear on stage, build a set, sing in a chorus and take classes in
  ceramics and photography?

Opportunities such as these are available to everyone at Keith School. All sixth graders, for example, study
art, drama and music. Some take as many as three music coursesband, chorus and instrumental ensemble.
Wide opportunities in the arts have been vital to the mission of Keith School since its founding by Belle
Emerson Keith in 1916.  Our founder determined to create a school that would provide the ideal environment
for the development of the child.  As a result, Keith students discover that the power of art, music and
drama enriches their lives forever.
