In addition to an extensive teaching background in foreign languages, Apryle has lived and studied in Spain and Mexico. She attended Pomona College, earned her B.A. in Spanish and French at the University of Hawaii, received an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as she began pre-doctoral work also at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received a post-Master’s certification in teaching from Michigan State University. Along with teaching middle and high school students, Apryle has also taught at Rockford College and worked with private businesses on diversity training and English as a Second Language. Apryle’s greatest joy is her family. She also enjoys gardening, reading history, music, entertaining her cats, and writing poetry.
