After more than a decade teaching in public schools throughout northern Illinois, Mrs. Clark joined Keith in 2022 as grade 1 teacher. Her educational background and diverse elementary education experience make her an asset in the classroom. M. Clark earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Rockford University and a M.S.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University. She holds endorsements in middle school language arts and social science, early childhood education and library science, as well as early childhood special education approval.
Prior to joining the Keith staff, Mrs. Clark worked as an early childhood education teacher at both Rockford Public Schools District 205 and Harlem School District 122. She also served as an elementary librarian within the Harvard Community Unit School District 50 where she guided students in using information literacy skills aligned to CCSS ELA standards for Kindergarten through grade 3.
As a teacher, Mrs. Clark strives to design active learning opportunities that build from a child’s interests, skills, and goals. She desires to establish a positive learning environment to nurture each child’s individual development.
Mrs. Clark enjoys hiking and spending time with family. She has two teenage daughters, Emma is 18 and Elizabeth is 14. Her family loves to spend time out in nature! Their family goal is to travel to different national parks each year.
