Madame Ibtissam Essalim believes learning a new language opens the door to new cultures, perspectives, and ways of connecting with the world. As a multilingual educator, she enjoys creating an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable speaking, experimenting and building confidence in their French language skills.
Originally from Morocco, Ibtissam brings an international perspective to the classroom and is fluent in French, English, and Arabic, with conversational Spanish. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Moulay Ismail University in Morocco and previously taught preschool-aged children in a multilingual learning environment in Tangier, where she supported both language development and early learning skills.
Creativity also plays an important role in Ibtissam’s approach to working with children. As the founder of The Social Palette, she develops and leads creative workshops and community art experiences for children and adults. She enjoys bringing that same spirit of creativity, participation. and connection into her work with students.
At Keith, Madame Essalim strives to make French approachable and engaging while helping students develop more than language proficiency. Through their study of French, students are encouraged to broaden their cultural understanding, communicate with confidence and develop a greater appreciation for the diverse world around them.
