Dr. Waller, affectionately known as Dr. Vee, is a scholarly and creative educator with a practical and engaging teaching approach. With a proven track record as a master educator, administrator, and certified secondary English and history teacher, Dr. Waller has dedicated his career to shaping the minds of students and fostering a positive learning environment.
Founder of the Character Development Interactive Seminar/Course and author of “Reality Checked: Life through Death,” and “Positively I AM with You: Your Life Matters!” Dr. Waller specializes in developing positive personal and group relationships. He leads his classroom with love and excellence. The learning environment he creates is centered on the interests, strengths and needs of the students as individuals. It is a place where children learn, grow, and thrive academically, and build healthy, positive relationships.
Dr. Waller’s post-secondary education achievements began in 1981 when he earned a B.A. in Theology from Oakwood University followed by an MDiv in Church Administration, B.A. in English Literature, and M.A. in Education Administration from Andrews University. He went on to receive a PhD in Educational Leadership from Capella University in 2017 and completed his Clinical Pastoral Education at Cleveland Clinic in 2018.
Prior to joining Keith, Dr. Waller served as a Middle School Teacher in the Allegheny West Conference in Columbus, OH where he taught a diverse curriculum and extended his impact by planning Black History programs and outreach initiatives. He promoted a positive learning environment by actively engaging with students and parents, communicating lesson plans through various channels and planning meticulous lessons.
He also has a distinguished history as a principal at various schools throughout the U.S. where he was committed to academic excellence and consistently set and achieved academic standards. Dr. Waller modeled effective leadership through collaboration with staff and students.
