Octavia Williams is an enthusiastic professional dedicated to leaving a lasting impact on her community by driving positive change and improving the lives of those in it. Her experience includes work in the non-profit, advocacy, and healthcare sectors with expertise in fund development, grant writing, marketing, relationship building and project management. She is a compelling storyteller, impactful presenter, and effective communicator.
She completed her pre-pharmacy curriculum at Stevenson University and went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy. She completed her Doctoral Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Memphis.
Prior to joining Keith, Williams was the director of development at the United Way of Rock River Valley where she provided oversight and supervision for all fund development activities and programs for the organization. In her role, she was responsible for strategic planning, recruiting and retaining foundation and corporate donors, relationship building activities, marketing and promotions and analyzing data and reports to ensure organizational success. In addition, she oversaw a team of relationship managers and was responsible for hiring and retaining the fundraising team.
Williams is deeply involved in the community and served on the Board of Directors for both Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity and Discovery Center Museum where she brought valuable insights and expertise, contributing to the growth and success of both organizations.
In her spare time, Williams enjoys hula hooping.
