Keith Country Day School is proud to announce that its 18 graduating seniors have earned an impressive $2 million in merit-based scholarships to support their continued education. Every member of the graduating class will attend college in the fall, 80 percent of whom have been accepted to their first-choice school. Students will continue their education at schools across eight different states including Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Colorado, New York, Connecticut and California. One student is returning to Germany to attend college.

“We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2019 and wish them success in their college careers and beyond,” said Charo Chaney, Head of School Co-Lead at Keith Country Day School. “We look forward to watching them use their quality Keith education to grow and flourish in today’s changing world.”

Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on individual achievements, such as academic, athletic or artistic accomplishments. This year’s merit-based scholarship figures are the result of the school’s focus on graduating high-performing, well-rounded students for whom colleges and universities are willing to offer partial and full-tuition scholarships.

“At Keith, we are consistently bringing innovative ideas and energy to our educational approach to best prepare students for college and beyond,” said Ashleigh Van Thiel, Head of School Co-Lead at Keith Country Day school. “Our graduating class is a great example of how students can achieve outstanding success when high academic expectations are combined with a nurturing, family-like school environment.”

Keith Country Day School truly prepares students for college by having the most demanding graduation requirements of any school in the region, including more science, math, English, social studies, foreign language, speech, college counseling, and community service. It also offers a wide range of Advanced Placement courses, the opportunity to join a variety of clubs and organizations, and a unique, rotating schedule, which provides more variety and choice for each individual student.
